Mabel, One and Only

My favorite part about my recent school visit to the 3rd grade at Hardy School in Arlington, Mass.? The fan mail. Maybe I shouldn't revel in it, but that's just what I'm doing. Here's one:

"I thought that Mabel, One and Only was fantastic! I especially liked the part when Mabel was out in space and refused to come back. I also liked how you made Mabel a girl who likes to collect trash and not a girly girl like Fancy Nancy."

Nothing against Nancy, but I really enjoyed this one.
